Vatican II
emphasized the Church is the whole people of God — clergy,
religious and laity — and that the people of God are active
partners in the church's life of ministry.
That's true at the Church of the Visitation.
The Parish Pastoral Council, which represents the
membership of the Church of the Visitation, is a structure by
which the parish and staff cooperate and collaborate in
decisions that affect the direction and priorities of the parish
family. One of those priorities is to be a life-giving community
that enables all to reflect Jesus in their lives at home and in
the broader community.

packages may be purchased by anyone, regardless of need, who has
done any community service. SHARE is not a welfare program; it
is a reward for doing community service. The SHARE PROGRAM is a
great way to supplement your own food budget or buy food at
reduced prices to give to need people in your neighborhood. The
SHARE PROGRAM may be discontinued because not enough people
participate. If you would like more information, contact
Marilynne M. Cerullo at (804) 776-0284.
